A green project - GREEN - because it focuses on energy efficiency policies, waste reduction and responsible consumption.

An intelligent project - SMART - because it is committed to innovation and digitization as the most effective means to achieve the objectives of sustainable development.

100% Renewable Electrical Energy

Since 2019, all Coral Hotels' establishments are supplied with 100% renewable electricity. Thanks to this, among other measures, in 2020 Coral Hotels managed to reduce their carbon footprint and emit 75% less CO2 into the atmosphere.

Solar and Photovoltaic Panels

In 2020, the installation of photovoltaic panels for self-consumption with an estimated annual generation of 185,703kWh is implemented in Coral Cotillo Beach. In 2021, the project to install photovoltaic panels for self-consumption in all Coral Hotels establishments begins.

Certificates in Sustainability

Coral Hotels is the first hotel chain in the world to obtain the BIOSPHERE certificate in 100% of its hotel establishments. In addition, seven of Coral Hotels establishments also have the Travelife Gold certificate. The objective for 2022 is that 100% of the establishments also have this certificate.

Promotion of the Local Economy

All Coral Hotels suppliers have been carefully chosen, taking into account ecological criteria. Coral Hotels promotes the hiring of local suppliers and the consumption of local and zero kilometer products.

Digitalization

Implementation of digital technology to eliminate paper posters in all Coral Hotels' facilities, including the implementation of online check-in, the digitization of all their bar and restaurant menus and the replacement of information brochures with screens in common areas, rooms and codes QR.

Sustainability Training Programs

Coral Hotels teaches training courses on sustainability and environmental awareness for all their employees with the aim that the entire team understands and shares the company's values ​​of responsible tourism.
